Lawndale Rotary - A Message from the Club President

I am the new president of the Lawndale Rotary Club for the term of July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007. I have been a member of the club for 15 years and was the first woman in the club as well as the first woman president.

The club has remained a "small club" during its 52 years, but has been "very large" in its many accomplishments. There have been five District Governors from this club and since 1984 to the present time, the Lawndale Rotary Club has been among the top ten clubs in the world in per capita giving to the Rotary International Foundation. The Lawndale Rotary Club has been recognized as the Best Small Club in the District at the Annual District Conference Awards Recognition on many occasions throughout its 52 year history.

We have many great projects planned for this year serving the community in the way of youth, community and vocational service projects. Several international projects are planned as well.
